John Malesci (1884-1969) was born in Vespignano, small town, which composes with others Vicchio, Mugello. Economic conditions forced the young family Malesci to start very early in the work as a craftsman.
The young artist took advantage from the beginning every free moment at his disposal to engage in what soon became one of his greatest passions, that the design. His sketches and struck his fellow villagers that the Florentine painter Raffaello Sorbi (1844-1931), which, after being contacted by a friend of the family Malesci, expressed favorable judgments about the activity of the young, trying to push his family to allow him to develop his talent through an academic. The economic conditions did not allow family members to leave, however, to Malesci Vicchio.
The turning point in his career and his life was his meeting with another artist, far more talented, Factors that John, who welcomed him in his studio for free, around 1903, after seeing some of the promising young productions. The great Tuscan artist was able to see some drawings and some clay shaped by Malesci and knew immediately that it must be a talented young man.
Factors, for his personal character, decided to bind and push more poor students, often chosen by him personally, which followed closely,demanding continuous improvements. So, the young Malesci, soon became very dear to the master, with whom he studied six years, until his death in 1908. Malesci remained close to the figure of factors throughout its life, first as a student, bound by affection and esteem, and later as a continuer of his memory.

The activity of the young artist began exhibiting at the Society for Fine Arts in Florence, between 1904 and 1906. But, repeated entries on the imminent outbreak of war in Italy urged to bring Malesci works.
He married in 1915, but already in 1917 was called up to give its contribution to the country. He did not live at the forefront of the war, was commissioned to private motorists, but the experience of the conflict will inevitably influence its production. In later years he participated in several major interventions such as: Roman of the First Biennial 1921, The Florentine Spring 1922 and exhibition-competition and Ussi Stiebbert always in Florence 1924.
In these years, the real test was for him In 1925, however,, when he exhibited at the Gallery in Florence Niccolini, with about eighty paintings, the very first major solo exhibition of the artist.
There followed a move to Milan, where his works were already getting quite a success at The Art Gallery Review. Make short stay in Genoa, Rome and the first in the Netherlands puntante, but returned to Milan, decided to confront a new reality, more open. Here in 1929 exhibited in a solo show at Gallery Micheli, where she had the honor of being introduced and praised by Carlo Carra. The Milan became a second home for him, continued his exhibitions and was devoted mainly through exhibitions at the Gallery Bolzani and publication of the monograph is dedicated to him signed by George Nicodemi.
