The cycle of the Tarot
The cycle consists of the Tarot 22 etchings, produced by the famous printer Milan Giorgio Upiglio. The sheets, pulled into 49 specimens, are 38×19 cm, mentre le immagini misurano 23×9 cm.

Jonah Flakes (Yonah), was born in Varese. He studied at the Brera Academy and is formed through experiences with the Viennese master Ernest Fuchs,current member of the surrealist decadent “Vienna School of Fantastic Realism”.
This experience has enabled him to deepen his knowledge on the art of engraving of the great artist Albrecht Dürer and the visionary paintings of Bosch, but also to fortify their academic training.
It must be underlined his double victory, in 1994 and in 1996, Illustrator's Annual Exhibition at the Bologna, which led him to illustrate a book of fairy tales for a Japanese publisher.
He then turned his interest in the production of ex libris and Tarot, investigated through a very personal language, that could be described as almost symbolic, esoteric and mythological.
