Born in Florence in 1927.
He studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, first under the guidance of Professor Settle and later with the painter Ottone Rosai. In 1959 he held his first exhibition at Officine Galileo of Florence. Lido in Bettarini 1986 receiving a commission for the Vatican's official portrait of His Holiness Pope John Paul II. His works are in important private collections and museums, Vatican Museum, Museo del Prado Madrid, Museum of Modern Art Montecatini.
